“It was an honor to be invited,” said McBreen. “Clean energy is a national priority. The convergence of clean energy with job growth, lead by experienced veterans, is a tremendous recipe for success. The clean energy economy is building new jobs and I’m excited to be part of that national effort.”

As a Marine Corps officer with twenty-five years of service, McBreen deployed to the Middle East multiple times, and was awarded the Bronze Star for combat leadership in Afghanistan. In 2013, he co-founded Accel Federal Energy Services LLC to develop and build solar energy facilities. McBreen also serves on the board of the Hampton Roads Solar Group, a regional association promoting solar energy growth.
